Death for colorectal cancer among subjects who do not undergo a colonoscopy

Data:

2 Apr, 2021
We estimated whether non-compliance with colonoscopy after a positive Fecal Immunochemical Test (FIT) is associated with increased colorectal cancer incidence and mortality. We compared 23.400 subjects who did not undergo a colonoscopy after a positive FIT with 88.000 subjects who did. The 10-year cumulative CRC death rate was double in those who did not comply with colonoscopy.
